‘OUR HEROES AWARDS’ 2010

 
Kubi Springer has been nominated for a Role Model Award as part of the South London Press ‘Our Heroes Awards’ 2010. Her nomination comes from recognizing her relentless years in the marketing and media industry and her passion for using the power of media to empower others. Recently interviewed by the South London Press, Kubi Springer’s full story appears in the South London Press newspaper on Tuesday 6 July 2010.

The South London Press, alongside its sponsors Shell, is launching its flagship ‘Our Heroes Campaign’ to celebrate the achievements of inspirational South Londoners of all ages, abilities and backgrounds. The awards ceremony will take place on November 16 2010 and the nominations will start from this summer. Hosted by Shell this is a wonderful acknowledgement for the hard work of incredible people like Kubi Springer and the real difference her and others are making in the community.

With over 12 years of experience and working with the biggest brands in the world, including Nike, Blue Flame (P.Diddy’s Marketing Agency), MOBO, Rio Ferdinand and MTV; today Springer spends her time as a role model helping others to transform their passion into profit and their dreams into a reality. Through her speaker engagements, seminars and training workshops, Springer works in schools, colleges, universities, training institutes and businesses. Her aim is to provide an insightful gateway into the media industry, an understanding of how to use marketing as an effective business tool and the encouragement and motivation needed to reach dreams.

Most recently, Springer collaborated with the London College of Fashion and hosted their annual fashion industry seminar. This event comprised of experts from Drapers Online, ASOS, Liberty and VIPICA Productions providing students with informative advice on how to enter the fashion industry.

As well as current work in the UK, Springer is involved in international speaker engagements.  She has previously attended Elogeme Women’s Summit in Chicago and this year sees Springer venturing to the International Leader’s Summit, World Youth Parliament in Kenya and the Back to my Roots Conference in Ghana; giving motivational speeches, marketing and media training.

Not stopping at speaking and training, on July the 15th Springer will revisit her old secondary school, Sydenham Girls to preview her highly anticipated first book ‘Being You...is Being FABULOUS’ published by ZUPA KAT Promotions. Witty, perceptive and passionate, ‘Being You...is Being FABULOUS’ is the ultimate journey of self discovery. Written in a diary format, the book takes the reader on a journey from girl-hood to womanhood and the lessons we uncover along the way.

Springer continues to be a role model as she also headlines her own flourishing multi-media company singlehandedly, certainly showing others that when they are in her presence, they are in safe hands. Sisterhood Media Group having launched in 2007, has evolved from just being a TV show on Sky to now incorporating a radio show (with syndication in South Africa) and an online portal - reaching 500,000 people all shows are archived on www.sisterhoodtv.com

This achievement emphasizes that Kubi Springer is unquestionably the one to look out for and justifies why she is considered a role model.
