At number 48: Lauren Zalaznick
President, NBCU Women & Lifestyle Entertainment Network General Electric (GE)
Age: 46

Lauren Zalaznick, President of NBC Universal Women and Lifestyle Entertainment Networks, oversees Bravo Media, Oxygen Media, iVillage and NBC Universal’s Green is Universal initiative. She was named President, NBC Universal Women and Lifestyle Entertainment Networks in May 2008, when she added iVillage to her portfolio and announced the launch of Women@NBCU, which is a content and marketing initiative that creates a unique approach for advertisers to connect with this desirable demographic across all the NBC Universal brands.
Bravo and Oxygen are buzzing, thanks to this tastemaker who gave us "Real Housewives" and "Top Chef." She's redefining how NBCU sells its coveted female audience, tailoring media buys for advertisers across the network's brands.
Oxygen is a program service of NBC Universal Cable Entertainment and is currently available in more than 73 million homes. One of the nation’s leading female-focused cable television networks, Oxygen airs unconventional and original programming including “The Janice Dickinson Modeling Agency,” “The Bad Girls Club” and “Tori & Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood.” Under Zalaznick’s watch, Oxygen achieved its best quarter ever among all key demographics, in second quarter 2008.
 
At number 47: Bonnie Hammer
President, NBCU Cable Entertainment and Universal Cable Productions General Electric (GE)
Age: 59
Bonnie Hammer is the President of NBC Universal Cable. Prior to this, she had been President of the U.S. cable channel  SyFy since 2001 and of the USA Network since 2004 (both networks are owned by NBC Universal). She joined USA as a programming executive in 1989 and has held a number of positions at both companies since then. Hammer first established herself professionally in New York as a programming executive at Lifetime Television, where she oversaw production of an award-winning series of documentaries.
She is a 1971 graduate of Boston University College of Communication; she also earned a master's degree in Media Technology from the University's School of Education in 1975. She launched her career in television at WGBH, the public television station in Boston, where she produced the critically-acclaimed series This Old House and ZOOM. She later executive-produced Good Day! for Boston's ABC affiliate, WCVB.
Under her direction, it became NBCU's most profitable asset and delivered the best ratings in cable history for the first quarter of 2009.

President Hearst Magazines
Age: 65
Cathie Black is the president of Hearst Magazines and author of the best-selling BasicBlack, a self-help book inspired by her success in the media business. Black manages some of the publishing industry's best-known titles, including: Cosmopolitan,Esquire, Popular Mechanics and O, The Oprah Magazine.
Nicknamed: "The First Lady of American Magazines" before joining Hearst, Black served as the publisher of USA Today and later as the President and CEO of the Newspaper Association of America
